Each week you can open the sports section of your favorite newspaper and see which NFL team is favored to win against their upcoming opponent. It reads as follows: (Miami -3 vs. Cleveland). What that means is that Miami is favored to win the game by 3 points. Therefore should you bet on Miami to win they would have to beat Cleveland by 3 points or more. If you bet on Cleveland to win, you would win if Cleveland does not lose by more than 3 points.
A favored team is determined by how much money is bet on that team in Las Vegas. The sports booking agents require that the same amount of money is bet on each team. If a team is considered a very good team and they are playing a team with a poor record, it would stand to reason that the majority of the bets would be placed on the better team to win. In order to make the weaker team attract more bets points are given to the weaker team. Usually the weaker the team the more points are given to keep the amount bet on each team equal. This way the booking agents have as many winners as losers. The booking agents make their money by charging 10% to the people who bet on the losing team.
Again let's take the Miami Cleveland game. If you would bet $10.00 for Cleveland to win and the scrore ended with Miami 24 Cleveland 20 you would lose.Miamiwas favored by 3. (24-3=21) So for betting purposes the final score would read Miami 21 Cleveland 20. You would lose your $10.00 bet plus a $1.00 fee or (Juice). This is fairly easy to understand.Now let me share with youa winningsystem.
In order to win at any betting system you simplymust win more bets than you lose, assuming you bet the same amount each time.Remember thatas a rule #1. Bet the same amount each time.
Another thing to remember is to have a mathematical system that can be proven by looking at past results. Basically would you havewon if you have been using the system. Remember that as rule #2.
You must also bet each game thatthe system you are using projects that you will win. We call that rule #3.
Rule #4. Do not bet with you heart only the system. Just because you like a team don't bet on them.
Now I will share with you the system. Each team has posted the total points they have scored up through their last game. This is called (Points For PF). And the total points they have given up(Points Against PA).
Take the average PF per game and the average PA per game of each team. Add the PF for one team to the PA to the other team and divide by 2. This is the total points that team should score against the other team. Now do the same procedure for the opposing team. This is what that team should score. Add 2 points for the home team. This is what the final score should be.Nowlook at the difference in points. Do you have the favored team winning or losing? If you have the favored team losing as posted in the sports section, you should take the unfavored team or (underdog) and bet on that team. Bet the same amount on each game that this system shows the favored team losing. This system may also project the favored team winning by alot more than the sports section shows. In that case bet on the favored team to win.
One more piece of information that you need. Only bet week 7 through week 13 of the NFL schedule. This allows time for the PF and PA numbers to be balanced in case of an early scheduled blowout game. Do not bet after week 13 because teams that may have qualified for the playoffs may be resting and not playing their key players.
As in all my betting systems put it to the test. Look at past NFL football games and see what would have happened should you have been using this system. Remember rule #1. You simply need to win more times than you lose assuming the bet is the same on each game. You will find that this system works about 69% of the time.
Last piece of advice. I'm throwing this in for free. Always, always bet the home town underdog when playing on Monday night. They cover the spread almost 78% of the time.
