Do Lottery Number Patterns Really Exist?

After more than two decades of lottery number analysis, I am more convinced than ever that any lottery player can improve his chances of winning the lottery jackpot by studying lottery number patterns. Not only do lottery number patterns and trends exist, they exist in all lotteries. They are there for everyone to see and for everyone to use to their advantage. In fact, patterns and trends exist in all games of chance. Taking advantage of them is called playing the odds and those that do it well are called professional gamblers.

In another article, 'How Do Serious Lottery Players Play the Lottery?' I showed how serious lottery players create a reduced play list by removing weak or underperforming numbers from play. Doing so significantly improves their chances of winning the lottery jackpot. Whenever I make this statement, some critics and skeptics become unglued and accuse me of just about everything short of raping the queen. Paraphrasing Shakespeare, "The s keptic doth protest too much, methinks."

The basic thread of their discontent goes something like this: Just because a lottery number had a dry spell doesn't mean that dry spell will continue. After all, it's a random game.

I can't believe I'm paraphrasing him twice in one article, but the Bard does have a way with words. It appears that the critic is 'hoist with his own petar'. Today's lottery equivalents of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern have misapplied a long term analysis to a short term game.

Lottery Number Persistence

This may surprise you, but I agree with the skeptics and critics. In fact, mathematics supports their position. Over the long haul, such patterns and trends will not continue. But, here is a part they either missed or don't understand. For the lottery, the long haul is tens of thousands of years and the short term is our lifetime.
